Our backgrounds

Marilyn was born in India, the daughter of a missionary doctor. Fred was born in California, the son of a school teacher. Marilyn was raised in India, Michigan, California. Fred was raised in California. Marilyn attended Westmont, Santa Barbara. Fred attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. We met in Santa Barbara, were married in Alaska (that's another story) and settled in Arroyo Grande on the central coast of California. We started a wholesale plant nursery and Fred became a landscape contractor. After ten years in the landscape and nursery business God began to move us in another direction, opening the door for us to work in fulltime ministry with Wycliffe.
